It is not pretending that everything is ok - that's denial. It's trusting God even when life doesn't go our way. It's knowing He's with you in the pain, so fear, and anxiety lose their power. Just as Jesus prayed in the garden saying, "Take this cup from me, yet not my will, but Yours be done.' He showed us what real trust looks like from the cross. True faith is holding onto Him no matter what! Believing He is for you and not against you.
